UCSC clients should update to a more current version (Acrobat 2017 or 2020). These versions of Acrobat and Acrobat Reader retired in July of 2020. If a client has a business reason to use it, please forward their request as a ticket to EE. ITS techs should uninstall Flash Player on sight at this point. Endpoint Engineering will begin to uninstall Flash Player from UCSC client computers in Feb. Adobe is blocking Flash content from playing in Flash Player starting January 12th, 2021. Other open standards, such as HTML5 and WebGL have matured and serve as a viable replacement for Flash. When requested by UCSC clients, technical staff should install the latest supported version. Unsupported software, by UC security policy, needs to be removed from UC computers.
